The Port of Bilbao has closed the third quarter of the year with 6.5% growth, having moved 24.2 million tonnes, which in absolute terms, supposes an increase of almost 1.5 million.
This data confirms the upward trend starting in 2013, and consolidates the continuous growth produced this year and especially that of the last few months.
This increase is due to a 15%-growth in liquid bulks. Dry cargo, on the other hand, went down by 2%, although the Port Authority of Bilbao points out that this traffic can recover in the final quarter. The number of TEUs remains at similar levels for the same period last year.
