The European Commission has announced a new programme of financial aids for multimodal transport, with a 64.6 million-euro budget. Final date for applications is 19 October.

Since the end of April, MacAndrews has operated a new weekly rail service for shippers that links Castellón, on the Mediterranean coast, with the Port of Bilbao. So on Tuesdays, an average of 35 containers loaded with tiles from the ceramics factories in the province leave the Port of Castellón by rail for the Port of Bilbao where they will be exported to the United Kingdom.

The third Getxo Seaweek organised by the Getxo town council with the collaboration of the Port Authority of Bilbao is to be held from June 25th to July 1st.
