The Port of Bilbao has welcomed the Saint-Malo, the first hybrid ferry of Brittany Ferries, which will replace the LNG-powered Santoña for the month of November while it undergoes routine maintenance.
With its dual-fuel engines (LNG and electric), the Saint-Malo is Brittany Ferries’ first hybrid and eco-friendly vessel. It is also the fourth ship to have been commissioned by the French shipping company as part of its fleet renewal plan to have more efficient and eco-friendly vessels, and to improve the amenities and services provided to passengers.
The ferry is equipped with 387 cabins, 28 of which are pet-friendly, and can accommodate 1,290 passengers. The ship’s hold has 2.5 km of linear parking space for vehicles.
