On Thursday, 30 October, the port logistics sector of the Port of Bilbao will take part in the third edition of the Cámarabilbao Job Fair, organised by the Bilbao Chamber of Commerce with a view to putting young people in Bizkaia in contact with companies looking to recruit young talent for their organisations.
The Bilbao Port Authority and UniportBilbao, the multimodal logistics cluster of the Port of Bilbao, will have a joint stand at the fair, where they will explain to young people aged between 16 and 30 the many professions involved in the port logistics sector, as well as the job opportunities offered by companies in the port community through their job bank.
At 11:30, a session has been scheduled on “Career opportunities at the Port of Bilbao: Present and Future”, designed to give young people an idea of the most in-demand jobs at the Port of Bilbao. These include those directly related to port and logistics activities, such as navigation, transport, the loading and unloading of goods, safety and management, as well as others linked to the challenges arising from the energy transition, digitalisation, innovation and sustainability, all of which require professionals with specific training and skills.

The Port of Bilbao is a leading multimodal, energy and industrial logistics hub in the Atlantic Arc. The activity generated around the port creates over 58,000 jobs, accounts for 8% of the GDP of the Basque Country and 17% of that of Bizkaia. In short, the Port is an essential player in the internationalisation of companies in its hinterland.
The fair will be held at the central offices of the Bilbao Chamber of Commerce, from 09:00 to 14:00 and 15:00 to 18:00. Those wishing to take part can do so by registering on the website at camarabilbao.com.
