They also spoke about how the Port Police are organised and how they operate, as well as the protocols for dealing with the most common security incidents.<\/p>\n<p>For their part, specialised personnel from the Ertzaintza explained the most common procedures and preventive tasks they perform on port premises, highlighting the importance of effective communication and the technical office&#8217;s role in ensuring the safety and security of critical infrastructure.<\/p>\n<p><\/div><div class=\"one_half column-last bbcol\"><\/p>\n<p><a class=\"thickbox\" href=\"https:\/\/www.bilbaoport.eus\/wp-content\/uploads\/2026\/02\/Ertzaintza-Puerto-de-Bilbao.jpg\"><img loading=\"lazy\" decoding=\"async\" class=\"thickbox alignnone wp-image-53386 size-full\" src=\"https:\/\/www.bilbaoport.eus\/wp-content\/uploads\/2026\/02\/Ertzaintza-Puerto-de-Bilbao.jpg\" alt=\"\" width=\"1200\" height=\"674\" \/><\/a><\/p>\n<p>Following this, safety experts from Tepsa, Petronor and BBG, three facilities in the Port of Bilbao which are considered critical, and from Brittany Ferries, explained the specific features of each of these concessions.<\/p>\n<p>The event concluded with a practical demonstration of trailer inspection, one of the most common tasks carried out to ensure the safety of port facilities and all those who work there.<\/p>\n<p><\/div><div class=\"clear\"><\/div><\/p>\n <div class=\"hide-for-small page-options-container hide-for-print\"> <hr class=\"page-options\"\/> <ul class=\"inline right page-options\"><li><a class=\"bmprint\" rel=\"nofollow\" title=\"Print this article\"><i class=\"icon-print\"><\/i><\/a><\/li><li><a class=\"bmsend2friend\" href=\"mailto:?subject=Article of interest: The Port Authority hosts a training session to improve safety at the Port of Bilbao -
