Our goal is to position the Port of Bilbao at the digital forefront of the Atlantic Arc\u201d, he said.<\/p>\n<p><strong>17 strategic projects<\/strong><\/p>\n<p>The plan is structured around 17 strategic projects, out of a total of 25, with key projects in six areas: infrastructure and connectivity, automation and artificial intelligence, security, digital workplaces, information systems, and logistics and transport.<\/p>\n<p>The plan will enable:<\/p>\n<ul>\n<li>operational times and costs to be cut;<\/li>\n<li>the traceability of operations to be improved;<\/li>\n<li>cybersecurity to be strengthened;<\/li>\n<li>logistics planning to be optimised;<\/li>\n<li>greater sustainability through more efficient technologies; and<\/li>\n<li>more digital and agile services for companies, operators and shipping companies.<\/li>\n<\/ul>\n<p><\/div><div class=\"one_half column-last bbcol\"><\/p>\n<p><a class=\"thickbox\" href=\"https:\/\/www.bilbaoport.eus\/wp-content\/uploads\/2025\/11\/Presentacion-Plan-Transfromacion-Digital-Puerto-de-Bilbao-Ivan-Jimenez.jpg\"><img loading=\"lazy\" decoding=\"async\" class=\"thickbox alignnone wp-image-53386 size-full\" src=\"https:\/\/www.bilbaoport.eus\/wp-content\/uploads\/2025\/11\/Presentacion-Plan-Transfromacion-Digital-Puerto-de-Bilbao-Ivan-Jimenez.jpg\" alt=\"\" width=\"1200\" height=\"674\" \/><\/a><\/p>\n<p>In short, Bilbao will be <strong>A MORE EFFICIENT, SAFER AND MORE SUSTAINABLE PORT.<\/strong><\/p>\n<p><strong>Aligned with global trends in the port sector<\/strong><\/p>\n<p>Port digitalisation is advancing worldwide with technologies such as IoT, 5G, automation, artificial intelligence, digital twins and traceability systems.
