This innovative plant, scheduled to be operational in 2026, is being built at Dock AZ1, consolidating the role of the <a href=\"https:\/\/www.bilbaoport.eus\/en\/\">Port of Bilbao<\/a> as a hub for energy transition projects.<\/p>\n<p>Using incineration waste and captured CO\u2082 as feedstock, the synthetic aggregates produced at the new factory will replace natural aggregates in a clear example of the circular economy, avoiding the extraction of natural resources and the accumulation of waste in landfills. A further advantage is that these artificial limestone aggregates will continue to capture carbon dioxide from the atmosphere once manufactured.<\/p>\n<p><\/div><div class=\"one_half column-last
