From <strong>Stand B4.207<\/strong>, the Port, represented by the Bilbao Port Authority, Uniport and companies from the multimodal logistics cluster, and with VIAL as co-exhibitor, will showcase its latest developments in services, infrastructure and technological solutions for more efficient and sustainable logistics.<\/p>\n<p>Sustainability is one of the strategic cornerstones of the Port and its companies, with projects such as BilbOPS, which will electrify the docks and reduce vessel emissions by up to 40%. The first phase of BilbOPS, costing 4.7 million euros and co-funded with a grant from the Recovery and Resilience Facility, will be completed in 2026, while the second phase, part-funded by European CEF funds, will require an investment of 50.1 million euros.<\/p>\n<p>Stand-out developments include a new application to calculate the environmental impact of logistics activities, and a service within the port community system to improve rail planning and goods traceability. In addition, the Port is using state-of-the-art AI-based technology, Big Data and smart video surveillance to optimise safety, energy efficiency and environmental control.<\/p>\n<p>The Port is also promoting economic development with an investment of 55.14 million euros in the second phase of the central breakwater, which will create 310,000 m\u00b2 of new operational space by 2027.<\/p>\n<p>As a strategic hub of the Atlantic Corridor and a benchmark in renewable energy, the Port of Bilbao is strengthening its commitment to greener and more digital maritime corridors.
