{"id":51621,"date":"2024-12-23T12:10:45","date_gmt":"2024-12-23T11:10:45","guid":{"rendered":"https:\/\/www.bilbaoport.eus\/?p=51621"},"modified":"2024-12-23T12:37:21","modified_gmt":"2024-12-23T11:37:21","slug":"bilbao-portlab-welcomes-students-of-the-inter-university-masters-degree-in-hydrogen-technologies-to-the-port-of-bilbao","status":"publish","type":"post","link":"https:\/\/www.bilbaoport.eus\/en\/news\/bilbao-portlab-welcomes-students-of-the-inter-university-masters-degree-in-hydrogen-technologies-to-the-port-of-bilbao\/","title":{"rendered":"Bilbao PortLab welcomes students of the inter-university master\u2019s degree in hydrogen technologies to the port of Bilbao"},"content":{"rendered":"<div class=\"show-for-small mobile-breadcrumbs\"><ul class=\"breadcrumbs\"><li class=\"home\"><span property=\"itemListElement\" typeof=\"ListItem\"><a property=\"item\" typeof=\"WebPage\" title=\"Go to Port of Bilbao.\" href=\"https:\/\/www.bilbaoport.eus\/en\/\" class=\"home\" aria-current=\"page\"><span property=\"name\">Port of Bilbao<\/span><\/a><meta property=\"position\" content=\"1\"><\/span><\/li>\n<\/ul><\/div><div class=\"one_half bbcol\">\n<p>For the second year running, the Bilbao PortLab innovation hub is collaborating in the Inter-University Master&#8217;s Degree in Hydrogen Technologies (MITH), offering students topics for their Final Master&#8217;s Theses (FMT) related to the Port of Bilbao and the companies that operate in it.<\/p>\n<p>This Master&#8217;s Degree, now in its fourth edition, is offered by universities such as the University of the Basque Country and Mondragon Unibertsitatea, and trains professionals in the different technologies along the entire hydrogen value chain (generation, storage, transport, distribution, transformation and applications).<\/p>\n<p>The collaboration between Bilbao Portlab and the MITH has given rise to a FMT topic aligned to the current context of energy transition based on hydrogen and\/or its derivatives, and offers interested companies a roadmap to achieve their decarbonisation goals. The reduction targets to be delivered in the maritime transport sector are ambitious, and, furthermore, the EU emissions trading scheme was extended to this sector in January 2024.<\/p>\n<p><\/div><div class=\"one_half column-last bbcol\"><\/p>\n<p><a class=\"thickbox\" href=\"https:\/\/www.bilbaoport.eus\/wp-content\/uploads\/2024\/12\/Zona-industrial-puerto-de-Bilbao.jpg\"><img loading=\"lazy\" decoding=\"async\" class=\"thickbox alignnone wp-image-51614 size-full\" src=\"https:\/\/www.bilbaoport.eus\/wp-content\/uploads\/2024\/12\/Zona-industrial-puerto-de-Bilbao.jpg\" alt=\"\" width=\"1200\" height=\"799\" srcset=\"https:\/\/www.bilbaoport.eus\/wp-content\/uploads\/2024\/12\/Zona-industrial-puerto-de-Bilbao.jpg 1200w, https:\/\/www.bilbaoport.eus\/wp-content\/uploads\/2024\/12\/Zona-industrial-puerto-de-Bilbao-535x356.jpg 535w, https:\/\/www.bilbaoport.eus\/wp-content\/uploads\/2024\/12\/Zona-industrial-puerto-de-Bilbao-150x100.jpg 150w\" sizes=\"auto, (max-width: 1200px) 100vw, 1200px\" \/><\/a><\/p>\n<p>This collaboration started with a project conducted with the company Berg\u00e9, and this year, MITH students will have a choice of four possible FMTs to be supervised by lecturers from the Bilbao School of Engineering (UPV\/EHU) and by staff from the Bilbao Port Authority and Bilbao PortLab.<\/p>\n<p><\/div><div class=\"clear\"><\/div><\/p>\n <div class=\"hide-for-small page-options-container hide-for-print\"> <hr class=\"page-options\"\/> <ul class=\"inline right page-options\"><li><a class=\"bmprint\" rel=\"nofollow\" title=\"Print this article\"><i class=\"icon-print\"><\/i><\/a><\/li><li><a class=\"bmsend2friend\" href=\"mailto:?subject=Article of interest: Bilbao PortLab welcomes students of the inter-university master\u2019s degree in hydrogen technologies to the port of Bilbao -
