To do so, the necessary infrastructure must be in place to enable the vessels to connect to the onshore power supply during their stay in the port of Bilbao, making it possible for them to switch off their auxiliary engines, as part of the BilbOPS project.<\/p>\n<p>Specifically, the electrical infrastructure covered by this contract consists of an electricity substation and distribution lines, including a high-voltage subsea cable for power distribution and the equipment required to adapt the supply to voltage and frequency requirements, as well as comprehensive operation and maintenance services.
