Lines will launch a direct weekly service, with very short transit times, connecting Bilbao with Ireland and the United Kingdom, in a seamless and fully monitored operation<\/em><\/p>\n<p>The new weekly service will depart from Bilbao on Saturdays, arriving in Dublin on Mondays and Liverpool on Tuesdays, and providing customers with a greater level of flexibility and efficiency, such as fast end-mile delivery.<\/p>\n<p>As Roger Megann, Managing Director of W.E.C. Lines UK, points out: \u201cW.E.C. Lines has been active in the Irish market for over 30 years from Portugal. Now, following our successful entry into the Spanish market in 2021 connecting Bilbao with Thamesport and Liverpool, our customers have been asking us to add Dublin to the list of destinations and to offer a wider product range\u201d. This request was further fuelled by W.E.C. Lines&#8217; entry into the reefer market in early 2024, \u201cas there is a strong reefer trade between Ireland, Spain and Portugal\u201d.<\/p>\n<p>This progression and natural evolution of W.E.C. Lines services also allows the Dutch shipping line to further increase its trade between Spain and Portugal with Liverpool, as demanded by its customers in both the dry and reefer market, and to offer greater frequency, faster transit times and reliability. A wide range of equipment will be available, including 20&#8242;, 40&#8242; DV\/HC\/HCPW, 45&#8242; HCPW, 45 ft refrigerators, 20&#8242;, 40&#8242; flats and open top containers.<\/p>\n<p>This route links seamlessly with W.E.C.
