The new fleet has 21 electric cars, three hybrids, two LPG-powered vehicles and one plug-in hybrid. \u201cAs we revamp the fleet, we will be acquiring new, more environmentally friendly vehicles\u201d, explain the managers of the organisation.<\/p>\r\n<p>75% of the Port Authority&#8217;s vehicles are now powered by alternative fuels, as opposed to 30% previously. 14 22kW double fast charging points have been set up in the car parks of the organisation&#8217;s offices and in the Protection and Emergency Centre, enabling vehicles to be fully charged in less than three hours, with a range of between 200 and 300 kilometres.
