The first phase of this project has been in commercial operation since last December.<\/p>\n<p>The nacelles of the 22 5MW SG 145 wind turbines, due to make up the second phase (110 MW) of the Cabo Leones III wind farm in Chile, will be shipped from the port of Bilbao. These are currently the most powerful and modern Siemens Gamesa wind turbines in operation.<\/p>\n<p>The nacelles for this wind farm have been assembled in the Siemens Gamesa plant in Agreda (Soria), which employs around 200 people. Around 140 companies will have been involved in the whole process, from the plant in \u00c1greda through to the shipment from Bilbao and the final installation in the Cabo Leones III wind farm.<\/p>\n<p>Bilbao is a port specialised in project cargo and a hub for wind energy.
