{"id":37483,"date":"2020-02-06T12:16:19","date_gmt":"2020-02-06T11:16:19","guid":{"rendered":"https:\/\/www.bilbaoport.eus\/?p=37483"},"modified":"2020-02-12T08:29:38","modified_gmt":"2020-02-12T07:29:38","slug":"more-than-500-heavy-vehicles-have-received-incentive-settlements-for-using-the-port-of-bilbaos-pre-entry-notification-system-and-the-ap-8","status":"publish","type":"post","link":"https:\/\/www.bilbaoport.eus\/en\/news\/more-than-500-heavy-vehicles-have-received-incentive-settlements-for-using-the-port-of-bilbaos-pre-entry-notification-system-and-the-ap-8\/","title":{"rendered":"More than 500 heavy vehicles have received incentive settlements for using the Port of Bilbao&#8217;s pre-entry notification system and the AP-8"},"content":{"rendered":"<div class=\"show-for-small mobile-breadcrumbs\"><ul class=\"breadcrumbs\"><li class=\"home\"><span property=\"itemListElement\" typeof=\"ListItem\"><a property=\"item\" typeof=\"WebPage\" title=\"Go to Port of Bilbao.\" href=\"https:\/\/www.bilbaoport.eus\/en\/\" class=\"home\" aria-current=\"page\"><span property=\"name\">Port of Bilbao<\/span><\/a><meta property=\"position\" content=\"1\"><\/span><\/li>\n<\/ul><\/div>\n<div class=\"one_half bbcol\">\n<p>The Port Authority of Bilbao has paid out the annual incentive &#8211; designed in conjunction with Interbiak, the public company belonging to the Department of Economic and Territorial Development of the Provincial Government of Bizkaia &#8211; to promote the use of the pre-entry notification system for entry and exit of freight transport in the Port of Bilbao via the Southern Metropolitan bypass (AP-8).<\/p>\n<p>The incentive has been paid this week to the hauliers who have registered to date in this programme, the objective of which is to avoid queues and waiting times at port access points, given the current increase in port traffic.<\/p>\n<p>Since its launch in June 2018, the number of hauliers that have signed up to the scheme has increased from an initial 322 to 502 as of 31 December 2019.<\/p>\n<p>The Port Authority of Bilbao expressed a very high degree of satisfaction with the degree to which the programme has been accepted. Since the scheme was launched, 30,105 entries and exits to the Port have been recorded which comply with the programme&#8217;s requirements.<\/p>\n<p>The IT systems developed by the Port Authority of Bilbao and Interbiak for registration purposes have worked well, meaning that the platform is now properly structured to cope with an increase in the number of beneficiaries over the next three years.<\/p>\n<p>Registration remains open.
