Ten places will be offered to young university graduates, and young qualified students from the different Higher Vocational Training cycles under the age of 30. They must all be unemployed, have no qualified work experience related to their training, nor have benefitted from previous work placements, as set out in the Novia Salcedo Trust requirements (which deals with scholarships of this type).<\/p>\n<p>All the practicals will be financed by the Port and River of Bilbao Foundation. Successful applicants must be registered as residents in one of the nine riverside towns forming the Foundation\u2019s Board of Trustees (Bilbao, Erandio, Leioa, Getxo, Barakaldo, Sestao, Portugalete, Santurtzi and Zierbena).<\/p>\n<p>The closing date for applications is 7 October and placements will commence on 28 October. Scholarships will be for eight months, longer than in previous years so as to give candidates more adequate training, and the selection process will be undertaken by the Novia Salcedo Foundation.
