{"id":23780,"date":"2018-01-19T09:30:41","date_gmt":"2018-01-19T08:30:41","guid":{"rendered":"https:\/\/www.bilbaoport.eus\/?p=23780"},"modified":"2018-01-22T09:02:26","modified_gmt":"2018-01-22T08:02:26","slug":"bilbao-world-centre-port-technology","status":"publish","type":"post","link":"https:\/\/www.bilbaoport.eus\/en\/news\/bilbao-world-centre-port-technology\/","title":{"rendered":"Bilbao at the world centre of port technology"},"content":{"rendered":"<div class=\"show-for-small mobile-breadcrumbs\"><ul class=\"breadcrumbs\"><li class=\"home\"><span property=\"itemListElement\" typeof=\"ListItem\"><a property=\"item\" typeof=\"WebPage\" title=\"Go to Port of Bilbao.\" href=\"https:\/\/www.bilbaoport.eus\/en\/\" class=\"home\" aria-current=\"page\"><span property=\"name\">Port of Bilbao<\/span><\/a><meta property=\"position\" content=\"1\"><\/span><\/li>\n<\/ul><\/div><div class=\"one_half bbcol\">\n<p>From 30 January to 1 February, the Maritime Museum of Bilbao will be the stage for the Annual General Meeting of PEMA, the London-based Port Equipment Manufacturers Association, in partnership with UniportBilbao.<\/p>\n<p>The event is an opportunity for the 100+ expected PEMA members to network, receive updates on the activities of the Association and its Technical Committees and attend key note talks from prominent figures across the Ports and Terminals industry.\u00a0 At the same time, the fact that Bilbao has been chosen to host the AGM this year means that once again, the town features in the international congress circuit, as well as reinforcing the Port of Bilbao\u2019s role as a dynamo for the economy by showing its competitiveness and leadership in exporting capital goods. Previous hosts to the AGM were Shanghai, Dubai, Amsterdam, London and Tampere (Finland).<\/p>\n<p>At the Bilbao Assembly, high level representatives of FEPORT (Federation of European Private Port Companies and Terminals), ICHCA (International Cargo Handling Co-ordination Association), APM Terminals, Terminal Link (CMA Terminals), Noatum Group and Sener, will take part among others.<\/p>\n<p>PEMA was established in late 2004 by a group of leading equipment manufacturers serving the global port and terminal markets.
