{"id":16127,"date":"2015-12-07T14:26:55","date_gmt":"2015-12-07T12:26:55","guid":{"rendered":"https:\/\/www.bilbaoport.eus\/en\/?p=16127"},"modified":"2016-06-13T12:15:55","modified_gmt":"2016-06-13T10:15:55","slug":"16127","status":"publish","type":"post","link":"https:\/\/www.bilbaoport.eus\/en\/news\/16127\/","title":{"rendered":"Volunteers from Bilbao Port Authority share a day with the disabled"},"content":{"rendered":"<div class=\"show-for-small mobile-breadcrumbs\"><ul class=\"breadcrumbs\"><li class=\"home\"><span property=\"itemListElement\" typeof=\"ListItem\"><a property=\"item\" typeof=\"WebPage\" title=\"Go to Port of Bilbao.\" href=\"https:\/\/www.bilbaoport.eus\/en\/\" class=\"home\" aria-current=\"page\"><span property=\"name\">Port of Bilbao<\/span><\/a><meta property=\"position\" content=\"1\"><\/span><\/li>\n<\/ul><\/div><div class=\"one_half bbcol\">\n<p>The Port Authority of Bilbao and the Adecco Foundation organised a day of activities to create corporate awareness and volunteerism in order to bring the company nearer to the mentally disabled, as well as to help them advance in their social and work integration.<\/p>\n<p>The initiative brought together twenty volunteers from the Port Authority and people from the Down Syndrome Foundation and other mental disabilities.<\/p>\n<p>In the first of the activities, the volunteers were hosts on a guided visit to the Port\u2019s facilities where they showed its main daily activities.<\/p>\n<p>Then, the volunteers accompanied their guests to a sports centre to practise a circuit of different sports including wheelchair basketball, table tennis and boccia as part of the awareness process.
