The delegation comprised representatives from the Federation of Indian Chambers of Commerce and Industry (FICCI) and more specifically from the business ladies wing of FICCI, (FLO).<\/p>\n<figure id=\"attachment_15927\" aria-describedby=\"caption-attachment-15927\" style=\"width: 305px\" class=\"wp-caption alignnone\"><a class=\"thickbox\" href=\"https:\/\/www.bilbaoport.eus\/wp-content\/uploads\/2015\/11\/Empresarias-indias-en-puerto-Bilbao-31-oct-152.jpeg\"><img loading=\"lazy\" decoding=\"async\" class=\"wp-image-15927 size-medium\" title=\"Representarives of the Port Authority&lt;br \/&gt; with the indian businesswomen\" src=\"https:\/\/www.bilbaoport.eus\/wp-content\/uploads\/2015\/11\/Empresarias-indias-en-puerto-Bilbao-31-oct-152-305x200.jpeg\" alt=\"Representarives of the Port Authority with the indian businesswomen\" width=\"305\" height=\"200\" \/><\/a><figcaption id=\"caption-attachment-15927\" class=\"wp-caption-text\">Representarives of the Port Authority<br \/> with the indian businesswomen<\/figcaption><\/figure>\n<p><\/div><div class=\"one_half column-last bbcol\"><\/p>\n<p>The Port Authority chairman, Asier Atutxa, and the Operations,\u00a0Commercial and Logistics Director, Luis Gabiola accompanied the\u00a0ladies on their tour of the Port\u2019s commercial and industrial facilities, which last year handled 200,000 tonnes of dry cargo with origins or destinations at Indian ports. In fact, India is among the Port\u2019s ten main markets in conventional cargo and serves Indian companies such as ArcelorMittal and Tata Steel. Besides, the Port Authority\u2019s own strategic plan establishes the challenge of specific opportunities in Asia, and India, the second most populated country and the world economy with fastest growth, is one of the countries to be held in consideration.<\/p>\n<p>During their stay in Bilbao, the Indian business ladies took part in a meeting where they informed of their experience and of their company vision, as well as of innovation, politics, justice and society in their country. The meeting was organised by the India Spain Council in collaboration with the Asiatic research Institute, the University of Deusto, the Autonomous Basque Government, the Biscay Territorial Council and the Town Council of Bilbao.<\/p>\n<p><\/div><div class=\"clear\"><\/div><\/p>\n <div class=\"hide-for-small page-options-container hide-for-print\"> <hr class=\"page-options\"\/> <ul class=\"inline right page-options\"><li><a class=\"bmprint\" rel=\"nofollow\" title=\"Print this article\"><i class=\"icon-print\"><\/i><\/a><\/li><li><a class=\"bmsend2friend\" href=\"mailto:?subject=Article of interest: Indian businesswomen show interest for Port of Bilbao Services -
