Bilbao Port Authority representatives will be in attendance at stand C-76 of Basque Country Logistics.<\/p>\n<p>Bilbao has 30 Lo-Lo sea container and three Ro-Ro services. Over 600,000 TEUs pass through its facilities every year. The European Atlantic zone accounts for half of this traffic, with the UK at the head followed by Belgium. A further 13% of container traffic has its origin or destination in the Asian Pacific, and 8% in the North American Atlantic.<\/p>\n<p>The fact that over 300,000 lorries annually transport goods between Spain and the North of Europe gives an idea of the growth potential of maritime transport still existing in this area.<\/p>\n<h3>Facilities and Rail Services<\/h3>\n<p>The Port of Bilbao container terminal covers a 373,000 m\u00b2<\/p>\n<p><\/div><div class=\"one_half column-last bbcol\"><\/p>\n<p>surface area, has 1,300 metres berthing and a 21-metre draught at low\u00a0tide. Among other services, the terminal offers seven container cranes with capacities between 32 and 65 tonnes, nineteen 32 to 42-tonne transtainers, 486 reefer container plugs, a scanner and rail services from the terminal to the main logistics centres in the Iberian Peninsula.<\/p>\n<p>At present, the terminal has intermodal services connecting Bilbao with Vitoria, Burgos, Madrid, Guadalajara, Seville, Zaragoza, Navarre, Barcelona, Castell\u00f3n, Valencia and Murcia.
