The agreement is part of the Port Authority\u2019s \u201cOpen the Port to the local community\u201d project which is included in the Santurtzi Employment Plan\u2019s Training Forum and attached to European and other Spanish Autonomous Community programmes. Initially, there will be fifty unemployed town residents involved and fifty more will follow in the second phase.<\/p>\n<p>It is a pioneer project which will enable a job bank to be set up for people trained in port themes and which port community companies will be able to access.<\/p>\n<p>The self-training process will take place in a virtual classroom and will include the corresponding tutoring, monitoring and assessment. The cost of this will amount to 48,000 euros, which the Port Authority itself will finance.<\/p>\n<p><span style=\"line-height: 1.5em;\"><span style=\"line-height: 1.5em;\">Applicants from among Santurtzi unemployed people must be registered in Lanbide (the official Basque Work Centre) and have<\/span><span style=\"line-height: 1.5em;\">\u00a0<\/span><\/span><\/p>\n<p><span style=\"line-height: 1.5em;\">\u00a0<\/div><div class=\"one_half column-last bbcol\"><\/span><\/p>\n<figure id=\"attachment_14293\" aria-describedby=\"caption-attachment-14293\" style=\"width: 305px\" class=\"wp-caption alignnone\"><a class=\"thickbox\" href=\"https:\/\/www.bilbaoport.eus\/wp-content\/uploads\/2014\/02\/foto-convenio-puerto5.jpg\"><img loading=\"lazy\" decoding=\"async\" class=\"wp-image-14293 size-medium\" title=\"Signature of the agreement\" src=\"https:\/\/www.bilbaoport.eus\/wp-content\/uploads\/2014\/02\/foto-convenio-puerto5-305x203.jpg\" alt=\"Signature of the agreement\" width=\"305\" height=\"203\" \/><\/a><figcaption id=\"caption-attachment-14293\" class=\"wp-caption-text\">Signature of the agreement<\/figcaption><\/figure>\n<p>completed upper secondary school or higher vocational studies successfully or similar.They must also have the First Certificate in English (or similar) and knowledge of other languages wil also be taken into consideration. They should also be interested in the subjects offered.<\/p>\n<p>The subjects will be as follows: Industrial Safety, the Port Sector and Strategy, Port Operations and Services, Goods Management and Logistics and Intermodality.
