These works will optimise the operational and berthing conditions of the vessels providing services for the industrial companies that are located in this zone and are specialised in the production of heavy, large dimension capital goods; thus they will be able to increase their competitiveness and capture new traffic. In turn, this will result in the growth of seaborne exports.<\/p>\n<p>In specific terms, the depths in this zone have increased from 3 to 7 metres, which enables larger vessels to enter.
