Section 5<\/h2>\n<ul>\n<li>\n<p><span class=\"fondoGrisClaro paddingLR5\">Art.237.<\/span> <span style=\"text-decoration: underline;\">The taxable event<\/span>\u00a0of this rate applies to the use of the maritime signalling services.<\/p>\n<\/li>\n<li>\n<p><span class=\"fondoGrisClaro paddingLR5\">Art.238.<\/span><\/p>\n<ul>\n<li><span style=\"text-decoration: underline;\"> The substitute taxpayer<\/span>\u00a0is the shipping agent and license holder or authorised person in ports, docks, wharves, jetties and other nautical sports facilities granted under the concession or authorisation.<\/li>\n<li>\n<p>The\u00a0<span style=\"text-decoration: underline;\">taxpayer<\/span>\u00a0is the ship or boat owner, shipping agent and the captain or master of the ship are jointly and severally liable for the payment of this rate.<\/p>\n<\/li>\n<\/ul>\n<\/li>\n<li>\n<p><span class=\"fondoGrisClaro paddingLR5\">Art.239.<\/span> The\u00a0<span style=\"text-decoration: underline;\">accrual<\/span>\u00a0of the rate shall be paid when the ship or vessel begins to receive the services in Spanish territorial waters.<\/p>\n<\/li>\n<li>\n<p><span class=\"fondoGrisClaro paddingLR5\">Art.240.<\/span>\u00a0<span style=\"text-decoration: underline;\">BASIC AMOUNT (A) = 0.25<\/span><\/p>\n<ul>\n<li>\n<p>The\u00a0<span style=\"text-decoration: underline;\">total rate<\/span>\u00a0due is the result of the basic amount (A) by one of the following coefficients by the gross tonnage of the ship or boat:<\/p>\n<\/li>\n<\/ul>\n<\/li>\n<\/ul>\n<table>\n<thead>\n<tr>\n<th class=\"break-word\" id=\"Titulo1\" axis=\"Lugar\">MARITIME SIGNALLING RATES<\/th>\n<th class=\"break-word\" id=\"Titulo2\" axis=\"Peso\">UNITS<\/th>\n<th class=\"break-word\" id=\"Titulo3\" axis=\"Peso\">COEFF.<\/th>\n<th class=\"break-word\" id=\"Titulo4\" axis=\"Peso\">TOTAL RATE DUE<\/th>\n<\/tr>\n<\/thead>\n<tbody>\n<tr>\n<td class=\"break-word\" headers=\"Titulo1\">a) Merchant ships (minimum 100 GT, first 3 stopovers)<\/td>\n<td class=\"text-center\" headers=\"Titulo2\">GT<\/td>\n<td class=\"text-center\" headers=\"Titulo3\">0.035<\/td>\n<td class=\"text-center\" headers=\"Titulo4\">0.00875\u20ac unit<\/td>\n<\/tr>\n<tr>\n<td class=\"break-word\" headers=\"Titulo1\">b) Ships and vessels used for sea fishing or deep sea fishing (once a year)<\/td>\n<td class=\"text-center\" headers=\"Titulo2\">GT<\/td>\n<td class=\"text-center\" headers=\"Titulo3\">1<\/td>\n<td class=\"text-center\" headers=\"Titulo4\">0.25\u20ac unit<\/td>\n<\/tr>\n<tr>\n<td class=\"break-word\" headers=\"Titulo1\">c) Ships and vessels used for inshore fishing or coastal fishing (once a year)<\/td>\n<td class=\"text-center\" headers=\"Titulo2\">&#8212;<\/td>\n<td class=\"text-center\" headers=\"Titulo3\">50<\/td>\n<td class=\"text-center\" headers=\"Titulo4\">12.50\u20ac unit<\/td>\n<\/tr>\n<tr>\n<td class=\"break-word\" headers=\"Titulo1\">d) Recreational or sports vessels whose length is &gt;= 12 m (sail) or &gt;= 9 m (motor) (once a year)<\/td>\n<td class=\"break-word text-center\" headers=\"Titulo2\">m<sup>2<\/sup>\u00a0&#8211; length * breadth<\/td>\n<td class=\"text-center\" headers=\"Titulo3\">16<\/td>\n<td class=\"text-center\" headers=\"Titulo4\">4.00\u20ac unit<\/td>\n<\/tr>\n<tr>\n<td class=\"break-word\" headers=\"Titulo1\">e) Recreational vessels or sports craft whose length is &lt; 9 m (motor).
