Section 4, Subsection 1.<\/h2>\n<ul>\n<li><span class=\"fondoGrisClaro paddingLR5\">Art. 194.<\/span> This <span style=\"text-decoration: underline;\">charge applies<\/span>to the use of the waters of the port service zone and to those port works and facilities enabling sea access to berthing or anchorage places.<\/li>\n<li><span class=\"fondoGrisClaro paddingLR5\">Art. 195.<\/span>\n<ul>\n<li>The <span style=\"text-decoration: underline;\">substitute person liable<\/span> for this charge is the shipping agent in general at docks and port facilities that are licensed or authorised.<\/li>\n<li>The l<span style=\"text-decoration: underline;\">iable person<\/span> is the owner, the shipowner or master of the vessel.<\/li>\n<\/ul>\n<\/li>\n<li><span the purposes of this regulation, alternative fuels shall be those referred to as such in Directive 2014\/94\/EU of the European Parliament and of the Council of 22 October 2014 on the implementation of an alternative fuels infrastructure.<\/p>\n<p>This coefficient shall be compatible with the coefficients of the previous subsections.<\/p>\n<ul>\n<li><span class=\"fondoGrisClaro paddingLR5\">Art. 200.2<\/span> <strong>Berthing on weekends and public holidays;<\/strong> For the purposes of calculating the time spent on weekends or public holidays, and provided always that there have been no commercial operations, shall be: Between 12 p.m. Saturday or 6 p.m. the day before a public holiday until 8 a.m. Monday or the day following the public holiday, : MAXIMUM 5 HOURS\n<ul>\n<li>When the time spent during that period exceeds 5 hours, the commencement of the time spent for the calculation of the maximum limit of 15 hours every 24 hours shall be measured from 8 a.m. Monday or the day following the public holiday.<\/li>\n<li>A public holiday berthing request must be made to the Port Authority of Bilbao before the weekend.<\/li>\n<\/ul>\n<\/li>\n<li><span class=\"fondoGrisClaro <strong>shipping service<\/strong> for transporting goods and\/or passengers on vessels whose sea routes are only in Europe between geographically located European ports, or between those ports and ports situated in non-European countries having a coastline on the landlocked seas bordering Europe, including their islands or non-continental sovereign territories. This concept is also broadened to include maritime transport between the member states of the European Union and Norway and Iceland, and other states of the Baltic, Black and Mediterranean Seas respectively.<\/li>\n<li><strong>Shipping service:<\/strong> Is that service which provides a specific kind of traffic in a port, where the vessel or group of vessels belonging to the same shipping or cruise vessel company link the port in question to others transporting the same type and nature of goods or a specific type of passage, elements of transport or cargo units.<\/li>\n<li><strong>Regular maritime service:<\/strong> is a maritime service that generally offers its services, adv ertises them, carries them out on a regular basis with clearly preestablished origins and destinations and makes at least 24 calls a year.<\/li>\n<\/ul>\n<\/li>\n<\/ul>\n<h2>DISCOUNTS<\/h2>\n<h3><span class=\"fondoGrisClaro paddingLR5\"><strong>Article 245 Section 6th<\/strong><\/span><\/h3>\n<ul>\n<li><span class=\"fondoGrisClaro paddingLR5\">1 \u2013<\/span> To encourage better environmental practices, the Port Authority will apply the following discounts\n<ul>\n<li>a) When a vessel accredits compliance with specific conditions regarding the environment, and in addition, the shipping company, or the shipowner, the vessel belongs to has signed a good environmental practices agreement with the Port Authority in relation to port operations and stays, a 5% discount will be applied to the charges.<\/li>\n<\/ul>\n<\/li>\n<li><span class=\"fondoGrisClaro paddingLR5\">2 \u2013<\/span> To increase quality in providing services\n<ul>\n<li>a) A 5% discount will be applied on the charges to those shipping companies in possession of current services certification which embraces all vessel operations in port, based on the quality references laid out by the Spanish Ports State Entity, or where applicable, on the specific references approved by the Port Authority.<\/li>\n<\/ul>\n<\/li>\n<li><span class=\"fondoGrisClaro paddingLR5\">3 \u2013<\/span> Discounts may be applied to traffic thought to be sensitive, priority or strategic, but will be no greater than 40 % of the vessel charges, in order to encourage attracting customers, customer loyalty and growth in traffic and shipping services that contribute to the economic and social development of the port\u2019s area of economic influence or that of Spain as a whole (<em>Law 31\/2022 of 23 december pertaining to the State Budget is confirmed for 2023 as follows<\/em>).<\/li>\n<\/ul>\n <div class=\"hide-for-small page-options-container hide-for-print\"> <hr class=\"page-options\"\/> <ul class=\"inline right page-options\"><li><a class=\"bmprint\" rel=\"nofollow\" title=\"Print this article\"><i class=\"icon-print\"><\/i><\/a><\/li><li><a class=\"bmsend2friend\" href=\"mailto:?subject=Article of interest: T-1 \u2013 Vessel charges 2024 - Port of Bilbao&body=https:\/\/www.bilbaoport.eus\/en\/services\/prices-offered-to-customers-taxes-and-tariffs\/prices-offered-to-customers-taxes-and-tariffs-for-commercial-services\/t-1-vessel-charges-2024\/\" rel=\"nofollow\" title=\"Send a link to this article by email\"><i class=\"icon-envelope\"><\/i><\/a><\/li><\/ul><\/div>","protected":false},"excerpt":{"rendered":"<p>Port of Bilbao In accordance with what is stipulated under Title Vll of the First Book in the Spanish State Gazette N\u00ba 253, provision 16467;
